The principles at Motorwood Entertainment are Ric Viers and Gary W. Allison, Jr.

 Ric Viers

Before starting Motorwood, Viers built a reputation as a sought after sound designer. He single handedly produced over 150,000 sound effects for over 99 libraries, making him the world’s largest provider of sound effects for motion pictures, television, radio, and gaming. In January 2005, Viers created The Detroit Chop Shop, Michigan’s most prominent post sound production facility. In 2007, to celebrate his 100th sound effects library, Viers founded Blastwave FX, the world's first HD sound effects company. In one year's time, Blastwave FX released over 32,000 sound effects, a feat unheard of in the sound effects industry. In 2008, Viers published a book called The Sound Effects Bible through Michael Wiese Productions, another first in the sound effects industry. Viers graduated from Full Sail Center For The Recording Arts in 1996 and World Harvest Bible College in 1995. He is a native of  Michigan and currently resides in Macomb Township.  Gary W. Allison, Jr.

Before joining Motorwood in February 2004, Allison was quickly becoming an established scribe for commercials and stage in Michigan. He helped create Motor City Productions, a successful corporate and television support production house in Metro Detroit. He co-wrote and produced THE BOY WHO FACED HIS  GIANT in the summer of 2004 and a solid bond with Viers was well established. In July 2005, Allison gave up his share of Motor City Productions to concentrate on writing and furthering his reputation as producer of quality entertainment. In June 2006, he joined The Detroit Chop Shop as a producer. In 2007, he sold his first feature film screenplay and was hired to write two television sit-com pilots. Allison studied film theory and creative writing while in college. He made a brief appearance at Pacific LIFE Bible College before leaving his studies to pursue a career in film and television. He is a native of Michigan and currently resides in Waterford. To learn more about Gary Allison, visit: www.gwallison.com.

BAG FACT:

Paperbag Theatre is in no way affiliated with Fandango. Paperbag Theatre was originally created by what was then known as Envision Entertainment in 2000, long before Fandango started their paper bag puppet marketing campaign in 2003. Though we are flattered that Fandango thought our little films were entertaining enough to copy for their marketing ads, we here at Paperbag Theatre hold to the truth that we are still much, much, much more funnierest!
